New from UK manufacturers DiscreteHeat, is a high security version of their popular ThermaSkirt radiant skirting heating. Developed from their NHS & Healthcare version, the new ‘EasyClean LST’ incorporates an anti-tamper mounting system that integrates the skirting heating panel into the vinyl floor and walls for a completely sealed, hygienic and anti-ligature solution.
With proven high energy efficiency, combining the skirting and heating in one also saves capital cost and installation time as well as maximising useable space. By being easy to clean, the spread of infections such as C.Difficile and MRSA - which has been linked to radiators and their covers- can be practically eliminated.
The ThermaSkirt system is simply cleaned when the floor is mopped - no tools needed or special covers to remove, no disruption to timetables and no special training required.
Being low surface temperature, the heating system can run much more efficiently and the occupants feel a warm all around ambience that helps to maintain a calm and conducive environment – with no hot or cold spots.
Unlike underfloor heating, ThermaSkirt can be retrofitted onto existing radiator circuits, and also responds quickly, on and off for maximum energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
Being completely free of exposed pipework or valves, there are no ligature points, nor are there any bulky covers or obstructions to cause trips and injuries.
Available in single height for small rooms and double height for larger spaces, ThermaSkirt is available in a choice of colours.
